Tim Tebow wasn’t pleased with his time with the Jets

Former Jets quarterback Tim Tebow wasn’t a fan of his time with Gang Green.

Tebow was with the Jets in 2012 after two seasons with the Broncos. However, after finding some success in Denver, it just didn’t go the same way with the Jets.

“It was a very interesting year, a lot of highs and lows,” Tebow told ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “Obviously, I don’t think it went the way anybody had hoped. I think I learned a lot from it, on a personal level, handling things.”

The Jets told Tebow that they would use him as a wildcat quarterback. While they did use him that way sometimes, it wasn’t what Tebow had expected and the strategy was far from effective. The Jets let him run the football more than throw it, usually for minimal gains.

In 2012, Tebow threw for all of eight pass attempts and completed six of them for 39 yards. On the ground, Tebow had 32 carries for 102 yards. The Jets released him after one season, and he never played in an NFL regular-season game again.

Tebow’s stint in New York was a big waste of time. The Jets clearly didn’t want to use him in the way he was supposed to be used, and it ruined Tebow’s NFL career.

Luckily, Tebow isn’t the type of person who holds grudges. He obviously wasn’t thrilled with his time with the Jets, and you can’t blame him. But Tebow seems to be doing just fine with the New York Mets, and the Jets are certainly doing OK without him.
