Former Rangers goalkeeper Kieran Wright is on trial at Queen of the South.

"He has had a great career, and the experience he would have brought made him an unbelievable signing.

"I respect his honesty and appreciate him telling me now, it's a blow, but we need to move on."

With no senior goalkeeper ahead of the League One campaign, Wright has been given the chance to secure a deal in Dumfries.

The former Rangers academy stopper hopes to impress after ending his long spell at Ibrox.

Clark is now assessing his options following the loss of the experienced former Motherwell, Dundee United, St Mirren, and Dundee keeper, Carson.
