Ex-Hamilton Accies and Dundee goalkeeper signs for Cove Rangers

Cove Rangers have completed the signing of former Hamilton Accies goalkeeper Kyle Gourlay on a two year deal.

The 22-year-old made ten appearances for Accies last season in the Premiership but he was released after their relegation to the Championship.

Ambitious League One side Cove have snapped up the goalkeeper and Gourlay will be re-united with his former Dundee manager Paul Hartley.

The former Scotland international handed Gourlay his first professional contract before he enjoyed loan spells at Clyde and Airdrie.

The Aberdeenshire side also signed the experienced duo Ross Draper and Iain Vigurs this week and the Balmoral Park outfit will be expected to push Falkirk, Queens Park and Airdrie to achieve promotion into the Championship next season.

Cove Rangers boss Paul Hartley said: “We have followed Kyle’s development for a number of years and are delighted to be able to bring him in.

"It will give us competition within the squad and I’m sure he will enjoy working with Alan & Stuart”
