Ex-Giants assistant Adam Henry joins Cowboys

Former New York Giants wide receivers coach Adam Henry, who spent two seasons (2016-2017) in East Rutherford before being ousted by the incoming Pat Shurmur in 2018, has found his way back to the NFC East.

The Dallas Cowboys announced earlier this week that Henry will be joining their staff after spending the past two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, where he once again had the opportunity to oversee Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, who he also coached at LSU.

Prior to his time with the Giants and Browns, Henry spent the 2015 season coaching wide receivers in San Francisco. That, of course, came after his three-year stay at LSU.

Henry also has experience in other areas, having spent time with the Oakland Raiders as both their offensive quality control coach (2007-2008) and tight ends coach (2009-2011).

Before entering the NFL the first time, Henry cut his teeth as the wide receivers coach at McNeese State (1997–2005) before being promoted to offensive coordinator for the 2006 season.

Henry had played his college ball at McNeese State and was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted rookie free agent in 1994, but he never made it onto their 53-man roster.
