Former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz appeared on “Titan Games” recently and was eliminated on Monday’s episode. Cruz went up against Noah Palicia, who defeated the former Super Bowl Champion pretty handily.
Cruz was, of course, a fan favorite during his time with the Giants. His breakout season in 2011 is one of the better seasons statistically for a receiver in Giants history. The team would eventually win the Super Bowl that year and Cruz was engraved in the hearts of Giants’ fans from that point forward.
“Titan Games” currently airs on NBC and the show is hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Cruz had previously been revealed as a participant back in May.
Cruz had trouble on the log lift part of the Mount Olympus obstacle course. The log lift put Cruz heavily behind in the race and proved to be too tough for overcome as the former Super Bowl champion was out of gas at that point.
Cruz congratulated Palicia and even joined him in a salsa dance following the race. Cruz may have been defeated on the obstacle course but he will compete in the regional finals and knows what to expect the next time around.
Cruz’s appearance on the show is just one of many things that the retired wide receiver has done in his post-playing career. Cruz has found a home as an analyst on ESPN and continues to be a model citizen giving back to the community.
