Ex Geordie Shore star Sam Gowland lifts lid on 'brutal' schedule and 'dog eat dog' cast

Former Geordie Shore star Sam Gowland has revealed the 'brutal' filming schedule the cast were subjected to, as well as claiming there was a 'dog eat dog' mentality on the show.

Sam, who first shot to TV fame on Love Island in the summer of 2017, was on the MTV programme for a number of series, during which time he got into a relationship with co-star Chloe Ferry.

Since leaving Geordie Shore, Sam has gone onto become a successful business entrepreneur and influencer and, near the end of last year put his North Tyneside home on the market for close to £500,000, before revealing he'd bought a plot of land for his 'dream home' at famous footballer haunt Wynyard Estate.

Like a number of British reality stars, Sam is currently in Dubai, as criticism against influencers being there, continues to mount.

On Saturday night he took to his Instagram story to take questions from his many followers, one of which was 'what was the hardest bit of being on a TV show?'

And, referencing his time on Geordie Shore Sam said: "We'd be getting in from nights out at like 4am and then staying up to 5 to do our scenes and then we'd be woken up again at 8am."

Without mentioning any names, Sam told another fan it was "dog eat dog" when it came to the cast battling for position in the Geordie Shore house, revealing there was 'a pecking order' in there.

He added: "So when I see some people being all friendly with each other I'm like 'really...after all that?'

Before Christmas it was reported that, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Geordie Shore bosses were considering filming the next series in Colombia.

A source told The Sun : "MTV has pretty much invited back all Geordie Shore’s cast, past and present, for a huge special next year out in Colombia.

“Hanging out on a paradise isle with cocktails a-plenty couldn’t be a more dramatically different backdrop for the cast than their usual haunts.

“But it’s just what the Geordie Shorers need – and fans want to see – after a year cooped up at home.
