Ex-Emmerdale star Adam Thomas to open shipping container restaurant at the Trafford Centre

By Daisy Jackson

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and his business partner Scott Graham are set to open a new restaurant at the Trafford Centre.

The pair are behind popular Gatley restaurant The Spinn, which enjoyed a busy run as a pop-up at Box on the Docks this summer.

Now they're preparing to open their first Oh My Glaze restaurant, in a trio of shipping containers outside The Great Hall.

They'll be bringing their street food offering of sticky chicken wings, burgers and wraps to the huge shopping centre, including a Trafford Centre-exclusive Dome Burger.

Their signature fiery sauces - with flavours including Mexican chipotle chocolate and spicy banana reaper - will feature heavily.

The Oh My Glaze restaurant will take shape in the new 'hanger' event space that's being put together for the Halloween event Spookfest.

The space will then be given a festive transformation for the Christmas period.

According to a job advert posted over the weekend, one shipping container will be the home of the Oh My Glaze kitchen, one will be the bar, and another will be a 'dessert glaze station' serving waffles and crepes.

The Oh My Glaze concept was set up in 2015 by the pair, who are best friends.

I’m a Celebrity Star Adam said: "From serving our famous Oh My Glaze wraps on the streets for five years we finally have a place we can call home: the iconic Trafford Centre!

"We’re buzzing to be launching this new venture, and after looking for several sites to launch our first Oh My Glaze kitchen we felt the Trafford Centre was the place to be.

"There are so many exciting things happening in and around Manchester, especially at the Trafford Centre, and we felt we had to be in the mix.

"And so, here we are… expect the unexpected and be part of the next chapter with Oh My Glaze!"

Zoe Inman, centre director at the Trafford Centre, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled that Adam and Scott have chosen the Trafford Centre for their first ever Oh My Glaze kitchen.

"Scott and Adam are joining us at a really exciting time at the centre, as we prepare both the centre and our fantastic outdoor event space for Halloween and Christmas – and we’re sure that visitors are going to absolutely love what they’re bringing to the centre!"
