Ex-EastEnders star Harry Reid smokes huge joint in throwback snap for 420 day

Former EastEnders star Harry Reid puffed on a joint in a throwback snap on Instagram.

The rising star was best known for his role as Phil Mitchell's son Ben, which he played from 2014 until 2018.

In candid photographs shared with his fan base, the former Albert Square star smoked in the comfort of his own home.

Harry shared the post on Instagram to commemorate 420 day, an occasion when weed users celebrate smoking cannabis.

He wrote: "Throwback. Happy 420."

Hundreds of pot smokers were out in full force at Hyde Park calling for the substance to be legalised in the UK.

Previously, Harry admitted he was "shocked" when EastEnders bosses told him they were going to recast his character the week before it was announced.

However, the soap star reassured his fans he wasn't "upset" but he thanked his followers for their support.

Harry confessed the acting industry was indeed "cut-throat" as actor Max Bowden took over from his role.

He told Digital Spy in January 2019: "They told me that they were going to recast him about a week before it was announced. To be honest, I was shocked because I didn't expect that they were going to recast the role. I was told that they weren't going to recast.

"But at the same time, it didn't upset me, which is what a lot of the fans are saying. One particular fan called Elizabeth, who's supported me a lot, posted, 'I hate to think that Harry will be sat there upset about it.' I'm not and that's what I want people to understand.

"This is business and this is the game that we're in. The acting industry is very cut-throat. I've said before that I didn't come into this industry to play one part, because I love exploring different characters' lives and personalities."

The actor branched out into the reality TV world with an appearance on E4's Celebrity Coach Trip in 2019.
