Ex-Dolphins WR Greg Jennings retires

Longtime NFL receiver Greg Jennings has retired from football, he announced in a YouTube video Monday.

Jennings played 10 seasons in the NFL and was a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2015, ultimately his final year in the league.

"I've got some news to share with you guys," Jennings said in the video. "Football is over. I'm done. No more big hits. No more 'Touchdown, Greg Jennings!' At least within the lines of as football field, I'm done. I'm done, and I'm excited to be done."

Jennings caught 19 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown last season in Miami, but he is best known for his seven years in Green Bay from 2006-2012. Over that span, he had 425 receptions for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.

He caught two touchdowns in the Packers' 31-25 victory over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV and was a two-time pro-bowler in his career.

"The past 20 years of my life has been football," Jennings said in the video. "But today, that all changes. And this smile is not going to be removed. It's going to be enhanced."

Jennings thanked fans for their support of his career and his family, and he said he would keep them updated with what his next endeavors would be.

"I'm done," Jennings said, "but I'm just getting started."
