Somehow, former Boston Celtics Jae Crowder and Kelly Olynyk are still in the running for a championship ring while Celtics alumnus Rajon Rondo is feeling the first twinge of pressure from their opponent out of the East as the Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 111 – 108 Friday night.
The game was a tight one all the way through, as the Heat refused to fold and hand the Lakers what would be their 17th title (at least, to most of us), instead bringing the overall count to three games to Los Angeles’ two by forcing a Game 6.

Former Celtics center Kelly Olynyk did not see the floor in the win, his minutes soaked up by a healthier Bam Adebayo.
Rondo continued in his “Way-off” ways, going 1-for-7 overall and 0-for-3 from deep to put up 4 points, 5 rebounds and as many assists and 2 steals in the loss.
Forward Jae Crowder scored 11 points, 3 boards and an assist in the win, but struggled to do it — the former Boston swingman went 4-of-13 from the field and just 2-of-9 from deep.

The Lake show and Rondo will get another shot to close out the series on Sunday, and Crowder, Olynyk and the rest of the Heat a chance to push the series to seven games.
We’ll try not to get our hopes up on a Laker series defeat in the meantime.
