Ex-Corrie star Ryan Thomas works as burger delivery driver in £280k Rolls Royce

Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas shocked takeout customers as he showed up on their doorsteps to deliver food in his £286,000 Rolls Royce.

The 36-year-old actor has been helping out at his brother Adam's restaurant The Spinn.

Ryan took to Instagram to reveal how he was surprising diners with the presence of a former soap star as he handed out their posh burgers.

"I'm just waiting outside The Spinn to pick up my next delivery. Make the call, you know you want to," Ryan told his followers.

"I might be coming to a home near you," the Jason Grimshaw actor teased.

As he took breaks between orders, Ryan also filmed himself watching an episode of The Chase in the comfort of his extravagant motor.

Ryan, 36, said he was happy to help out brother Adam, 32, who last year revealed that he and his restaurant co-owner were doing their deliveries themselves to keep down cost.

Before joining the restaurant business, like his brother Ryan Adam also found work in a soap - starring as Adam Barton in Emmerdale for seven years.

In a message to customers, Adam said he and business partner Scott Graham would be handling all deliveries in lockdown.

He added: "As a team we don't know what to say or do right now...as far as business is concerned we shall remain open until we are told not to do so...

"In all honesty we can not afford to close, our overheads are high and we potentially wouldn’t survive what is sure to be a difficult time for everybody in all walks of life."

The Thomas brothers also take part in their Mancs on the Mic podcast, where last week Ryan admitted he 'hates himself' for drinking two bottles of wine 'most nights in lockdown' out of boredom.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner confessed: “I’m literally just finding any excuse to have a drink” while at home with partner Lucy Mecklenburgh.

He went on to reveal that when he starts hitting the booze, it’s ‘all or nothing’.

Ryan told: "It’s like, everything’s all or nothing, so it’s not even like I have a couple of drinks.

“I’ll have two bottles of red wine and I’m like, 'Why?' I’ve got to get up tomorrow and I’ve got a routine with Roman and with Lucy and I’ve got commitments and I've got jobs coming up that I need to be focused for.”

Despite his love of red wine, Ryan said his hangovers are starting to get the better of him.

Ryan and partner Lucy welcomed their son Roman last year with the tot celebrating his first birthday this month.
