One of Britain's best-loved actresses is on hand to help at a Greater Manchester vaccine centre today.
Former Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played Hayley Cropper on the famous cobbles for 16 years, is helping out as a vaccine runner in Tameside.
The popular star of stage and screen is at the Hattersley Gas Works vaccination centre, on Stockport Road, Hattersley.
And the 51-year-old is urging people to come down and get their coronavirus jab today (December 22) - on the site's last day open before Christmas.
In a post on Twitter, Julie wrote: "ATTENTION! Tameside residents!
"Last day for pre Xmas booster at Hattersley Gas Works, SK14 3QU Short walk from Tesco.
"I’m vaccine runner. YOU CAN ALSO GET YOUR FIRST OR SECOND JAB!
"Anyone over 12 in the right time frame welcome. Loads of slots."
The Hattersley site opened at 10am and is open until 8pm, for both booked appointments and walk-in vaccinations.
First and second jabs are available, as well as booster jabs.
The site will be running again next Wednesday, December 29, from 10am to 6pm.
Tameside residents can also get their jab by appointment or walk-in at Denton Festival Hall, Peel Street, Denton, between 8.30am and 6pm today and tomorrow.
Walk-in vaccinations are also available at Stalybridge Civic Hall, Trinity Street, Stalybridge, from 4pm to 6pm today, between 1pm and 5pm tomorrow and from 10am to 2pm on Christmas Eve.
