Ex-Coronation Street star, 61, in love with 21-year-old stripper says: "I could be her grandad"

Former Coronation Street star Chris Quinten said he and his fiance Robyn had to hide their relationship from everyone they knew.

After Corrie Chris got into working in strip clubs all over the world with Peter Stringfellow, but after the mogul's death he went to work elsewhere.

While Chris was working at Secrets in Hammersmith, London, he met Robyn Delabarre and had an instant connection.

But because of the rule that there was strictly no relationships between staff the pair were forced to keep their burgeoning relationship secret.

Speaking to Holly and Phil on This Morning Chris said: "I'd had no relationship with any girls before and when she told me she was a nanny I thought she was a good person.

"We spoke a lot, we found out we love the same music and Sunday dinners, it was a snowball of events."

When the pair's seven-month relationship was finally uncovered Robin said her family found it really hard to accept because of the age gap.

Robyn's mum is 38 and her dad is 40, with Chris, 61 admitting he could be Robyn's grandad.

Chris said: "I've spoken to mum and they all love me thankfully, we haven't spoken to dad yet."

The pair now work in separate clubs, with the pair saying it is a lot easier now they don't have to sneak around.

Chris proposed to Robyn on her 21st birthday in front of her family and friends, with the pair already talking about children.

Robyn said: "I love kids, that's all I ever talk about I want children with him."

Phil asked if the pair worried about the age gap and what that would mean for children.

But Chris said: "We'll take the lead from Peter Stringfellow. He left his wife with plenty of money and he gave her his blessing to find love and I'll do the same."
