Ex-Chelsea pair Joe Cole and Ricardo Carvalho heading back to Stamford Bridge for Soccer Aid

Two former Chelsea stars have agreed a return to Stamford Bridge as Joe Cole and Ricardo Carvalho take part in Soccer Aid.

Cole will represent England while Carvalho is part of the World XI. Former Blues team-mate Didier Drogba has already been confirmed for the June 16 match.

England will be managed by Sam Allardyce and Susanna Reid, while Reid's Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan teams up with Harry Redknapp to manage the World XI.

Cole, said: "I can't wait to get back on the Stamford Bridge pitch and to be part of Soccer Aid for Unicef. I’m looking forward to playing with, and against, some of my old teammates – and to pull on the England shirt once again.

"Soccer Aid for Unicef is an amazing force for good, which helps children in danger around the world. To be a part of the game is a real privilege."

Carvalho added: "It's an honour to be asked to play in Soccer Aid for Unicef 2019 and to return to Stamford Bridge. I had some incredible years at Chelsea, so to be back at the Bridge alongside some familiar faces will be a special moment.

"This is an important game – I’m proud to be able to help Unicef raise funds for its vital work for vulnerable children all over the world."

Tickets are available now, priced at £10 for under-16s and £20 for adults. The match will be broadcast on ITV and STV.
