Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has identified the two main areas of the Tottenham squad that Jose Mourinho needs to strengthen in the upcoming transfer windows.
The Portuguese boss will be hoping to mould his new squad in the January transfer window, with the futures of several key players unclear.
Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen can all sign pre-contracts with potential European suitors from January 1, whilst the future of Danny Rose also looks unclear.
With that in mind, Mourinho will be hoping to negotiate a decent transfer budget from Daniel Levy to fix some obvious holes in the squad.
However, former Chelsea striker Cascarino has insisted that upgrading their options at full-back and signing a new goalkeeper should be Mourinho's priority.
Hugo Lloris has been injured since early October whilst Paulo Gazzaniga has made a few mistakes during his time as first-choice goalkeeper.
Kieran Trippier was never replaced in the summer after he was sold to Atletico Madrid in the summer, leaving Serge Aurier and youngster Kyle Walker-Peters as Mourinho's only right-back options.
With that in mind, Cascarino has reiterated those are the main areas that should be strengthened.
"Jose (Mourinho) has done it before, he has made sides better," he told talkSPORT.
"Definitely full-back areas, Tottenham fans will tell you. Goalkeeper, people give me stick about it but I am not convinced about Hugo Lloris, I haven't been for a long time.
"I think that might be another first port of call for them but goals isn't! What a way to go into a season and looking at your team and going 'I don't need goals'.
"They're expensive, finding 15, 20, 30-goal-a-season men is £100m+."
