Ex-Chargers’ Antonio Cromartie suggesting team wears retro jerseys

The Chargers announced that they will be wearing the infamous powder blues as they’re primary home jersey. The announcement had a lot of people engaged on social media, talking jersey possibilities for their own team or discussing who owns the best jersey to this day.

One of the people that got involved on Twitter was former Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Cromartie, a player that’s no stranger to wearing the powder blues, recommended a jersey that he also wore in his playing days with the Bolts.

Cromartie went to his personal account and told wide receiver that Los Angeles should bring back the 1963 Lance Alworth Mitchell and Ness white throwback jerseys.

Allen liked Cromartie’s idea and even suggested that the Chargers wear them as their away jersey.

As an ongoing tribute to the American Football League’s 50th anniversary, the last time these jerseys were worn was in 2009.

Wouldn’t it be something to see the Bolts back in these jerseys? All in favor of these becoming the primary road jerseys, though.
