Ex-champ Brent Primus vs. Tim Wilde headlines May’s Bellator Europe 2 in Birmingham

Bellator’s European series will continue in May with the return of former lightweight champion Brent Primus fighting atop the card.

After its first event went down this past weekend, Bellator Europe 2 will go down May 4 at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England. It will air live on Channel 5 for viewers in the U.K.

After losing his 155-pound belt to Michael Chandler at Bellator 212 in December, Primus (8-1 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) will make his quickest turnaround in several years when he meets Tim Wilde (12-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in the main event of Bellator Europe 2.

Wilde, who is a Cage Warriors and BAMMA veteran from England, will make his Bellator debut on the card. He’s won three of his past four fights, but will competing for the first time in 13 months by the time he steps in the cage at Bellator Europe 2.

No other fights have been confirmed for Bellator Europe 2 at this time. However, Fabian Edwards (6-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) is expected to participate on the card after winning his fight this past weekend at Bellator Europe 1.

Tickets go on sale for Bellator Europe 2 on Feb. 15.
