Ex-Celtic TV host Summer Harl announces she is expecting her first baby with Craig Gordon after pregnancy struggle

Ex- Celtic TV presenter Summer Harl has announced that she is expecting her first child with the club's former keeper Craig Gordon.

The couple were delighted to announce on Monday evening that they are expecting a bundle of joy next spring after Summer previously opened up about her struggle to conceive due to having Polycystic ovary syndrome.

In the cute post, Summer can be seen cradling her bump alongside her man and simply captioned the post with the date '13.04.21' and a heart and baby emoji.

Craig Gordon, who recently signed for Hearts, already has two daughters to a previous marriage.

At the start of the year, Summer opened up about 'growing her family' in a blog post to celebrate  Mother's Day and spoke about celebrating mothers and motherly figures.

Summer also shared her scan picture (Instagram)

On the back of the post, Summer told her readers that if they had any questions to ask her on  Instagram, and one fan asked if she would like children of her own one day and Summer revealed that they have been trying 'for quite a long time'.

She said: "Yes absolutely, We would love to grow our family. We have been trying for quite a long time. I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) so we have been working our way through that for almost a year. It's really tough, but something that will work out one day."

The syndrome, which affects an estimated 20% of UK women, including celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Gemma Collins, can make it difficult to fall pregnant as the hormonal imbalances it creates can prevent ovulation.

Congratulations Summer and Craig!
