Former Celtic striker Patryk Klimala's salary at new club New York Red Bulls has been revealed by MLS - and it appears the Polish Under-21 international has landed on his feet after departing Parkhead.
The Hoops paid Jagiellonia Białystok a sizeable fee of £3.5million for Klimala's services back in January 2020 but the 22-year-old struggled to adapt to Scottish football and managed just three goals in 28 appearances.
The Celtic hierarchy accepted a bid from Red Bull's New York-based side last month, with Klimala drawing a swift end to his disappointing spell in Glasgow after agreeing a lucrative deal to move to America.
According to accounts published by MLS earlier this week, Klimala is earning just shy of $22,000 per-week in the Big Apple, the equivalent of more than £15,000, which takes his annual salary to a whopping £800,000.
Klimala is yet to play competitively for his new employers but they'll be expecting big things from the forward given his wage makes him the club's highest-paid player.
Scotland international Johnny Russell is also mentioned in the accounts, with the 31-year-old picking up a cool £1.13 million annually at Sporting Kansas City, whilst Lewis Morgan is taking home £393,000 per year at David Beckham's Inter Miami.
