Ex-Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard 'set for £4m Crystal Palace transfer exit'

Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is set to complete a transfer exit from Crystal Palace.

The forward, 27, is expected to leave the Premier League club before the summer transfer window shuts later tonight.

Edouard, who spent time last season on loan at Leicester, has one year left on his contract at Selhurst Park, but Palace are willing to let him move now.

According to RMC Sport, Edouard is in France preparing to seal a move to Lens.

It's reported the striker is set for a medical today ahead of signing a three-year deal with the Ligue 1 side.

Lens will pay a reported fee in the region of €5m for Edouard.

Meanwhile, Celtic are thought to be on the search for two new strikers before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Parkhead club are set to sell Adam Idah to Swansea for a fee of around £7m with Kasper Dolberg of Anderlecht a transfer target for Brendan Rodgers.

However, Sky Sports claim Celtic will also look to further bolster their attacking options with a second signing, potentially on loan, at striker today.

Quizzed on the pursuit of Dolberg after the 0-0 draw against Rangers, Brendan Rodgers said: "I don't know. I'll speak to the guys afterwards on where we're at.

"There's a number of areas where we need to freshen up and I hope we can do that."
