Former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu revealed how he was forced to climb out of his sick bed to become a South Korea World Cup hero.
The 24-year-old hitman netted the winner for his country as they came from behind to defeat the Czech Republic in their opening game.
Oh spent 18 months with the Hoops before moving to Genk in Belgium, where his value rocketed and helped land him a £12 million move to Besiktas.
But he very nearly didn't make the game after being laid low with a sickness bug before the match.
He said: "I had a fever before the game and my temperature was up at 38 degrees so I really wasn't sure if I would even feature.

"I had problems with the high altitude and I had a severe stomach bug.
"But for me to score in a game like this was the best moment in my career. It was incredible and I have to thank my teammates."
And South Korean medical officer, Baek Jeong-guk, admitted it was a miracle Oh was able to play.
He said: "He was in so much pain. I didn't think he would be able to get out of bed, never mind play in the game.
"I didn't think there was any way he could possibly play.
"We gave him urgent treatment because he had such a high fever."
