Ex-Celtic Nate Robinson to box YouTuber Jake Paul in Tyson-Jones Jr. undercard

Former Boston Celtic guard Nate Robinson will fight YouTuber Jake Paul as the undercard match to the Mike Tyson – Roy Jones Jr. bout taking place this evening, November 28th at 9 pm ET.

The fight came about from Robinson himself calling for it, the former Celtic evidently taking issue with the level of opponents the social media influencer had fought up to that point.

Contacting TMZ Sports, the former NBA guard called out Paul, demanding he fight him instead.

“I want all the smoke — I’m a top-tier athlete,” claimed Robinson to TMZ.

“You beating me would probably be the biggest accomplishment for your boxing career, or social media influencer – whatever,” he said. “That’s your biggest claim to fame right now is knocking out Nate Robinson, so come do it. I’m putting my everything on the line for you.”

“Let’s get it done. It’s that simple,” added the former Celtic guard.

“Nate started talking … shit, saying, ‘Jake, you never fought a professional athlete, you never fought anyone good.’ I was like, ‘Alright, well then, I’ll fight you.’,” confirmed Paul via the Verge’s Jacob Kastrenakes.

“He was the one that asked for this.”

You can catch the bout at TysononTriller.com or on FITE TV — both a $49.99 pay-per-view asking price.
