Ex-Browns WR Josh Gordon reinstated by the NFL

The Josh Gordon movie series keeps getting more and more sequels. On Friday, the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally reinstated the troubled wide receiver, now with the New England Patriots.

Gordon has battled substance abuse addiction issues dating back to middle school, a fight Gordon himself chronicled in an excellent tell-all while he was still on the Browns.

The Browns finally pulled the plug after years of coddling Gordon, who when healthy and clean is one of the NFL’s most talented receivers. His spectacular 2013 in Cleveland is one of the most prolific seasons in NFL history for a wideout. Unfortunately, he did not get even half of the 1,686 yards from that magical season in the next five years with the Browns, including multiple NFL suspensions for failed drug tests.
