Ex-Browns WR Corey Coleman tears his ACL, out for 2019

Former Cleveland Browns starting wideout Corey Coleman continues to struggle in his quest to keep his NFL career afloat. Now with the New York Giants, Coleman will miss the entire 2019 season with injury.

Coleman, the Browns’ first-round pick in 2016 out of Baylor, was trying to make a bigger impact in New York to help fill the vacancy created by the trade of Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns. Instead, he will spend the year rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in the first day of Giants camp.

Coleman was traded by the Browns to the Bills last August, with Cleveland receiving a 2020 7th-round pick in return. He failed to make the Bills or the New England Patriots, who also picked him up. He finished the year making one start in eight games with New York, playing sparingly and catching just 5 passes.
