Ex-Browns TE Darren Fells signs with the Houston Texans

Darren Fells has followed the lead of 2018 Browns teammate Briean Boddy-Calhoun. Both are now members of the Houston Texans after the veteran tight end inked a free agent deal to sign on with the defending AFC South champs.

Fells was cut by the Browns last week after one year in Cleveland. He served his role as the primary blocking tight end pretty well, and the 6-foot-7 veteran proved he can still be an asset as a receiver, too. He caught 3 TDs among his 11 receptions, and only one of his 12 targets resulted in an incompletion.

The 32-year-old signed a one-year deal to help the Texans, who have a young tight end room and a major need for pass blocking help.
