Ex-Browns OT Desmond Harrison wanted on strangulation, assault charges

Police in Greensboro, North Carolina, have confirmed that an arrest warrant has been issued for former Cleveland Browns starting left tackle Desmond Harrison on felony charges of strangulation and assault on a female.

Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report first reported the arrest warrant for Harrison.

Harrison was dumped in June by the Browns after struggling as a surprise starter to open 2018. He was an undrafted rookie from West Georgia, where he wound up after several behavioral incidents bounced him out of the University of Texas program.

Despite some athletic promise, Harrison had major issues with the speed and power of the NFL. Personal discipline and lack of professionalism were also issues. The Arizona Cardinals claimed Harrison off waivers from the Browns in hopes the troubled lineman could help their offensive unit.

Update: The Cardinals have waived Harrison.
