Ex-Broncos OL Max Garcia agrees to sign with Cardinals

Former Denver Broncos offensive lineman Max Garcia has agreed to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, according to SiriusXM NFL Radio’s Adam Caplan. Terms of the contract are unknown.

Garcia (6-4, 309 pounds) entered the league as a fourth-round pick out of Florida with the Broncos in 2015. He dressed for all 16 games as a rookie, earning five starts at left guard.

Garcia went on to start 32 consecutive games in Denver from 2016-2017 before being benched in favor of Ron Leary and Connor McGovern in 2018. Garcia still started four games in the place of injured teammates last season but he was not among the team’s first-choice offensive linemen.

Garcia’s 2018 season was cut short in Week 11 when he suffered a torn ACL during practice. If he can fully recover from that injury, Garcia will likely have a shot to start in Arizona this season.

Sean Kugler, who coached the Broncos’ offensive line last year, now coaches the Cardinals’ offensive line.
