Ex-Broncos DL Domata Peko would love to play for Chargers or Rams

The Broncos opted not to re-sign nose tackle Domata Peko in March, allowing the 34-year-old defender to become a free agent.

Peko recently visited the Lions and he hinted in an interview with TMZ Sports on Wednesday that his agent might be negotiating a deal.

“My agent’s trying to work some stuff out,” Peko said, via NFL.com. “We’re gonna see; just being patient with it and enjoying this time with my family.”

If he doesn’t land in Michigan, Peko would like to stay in California.

“I would love to play here in L.A.,” Peko said. “I’m all about L.A., grew up in Whittier. So, dude, if the Rams come calling or the Chargers, I would love to do that.”

Peko started in 30 games in Denver over the last two seasons, earning $7.5 million. He totaled 69 tackles and 1.5 sacks during his time with the Broncos. Peko has recorded 585 tackles and 20 sacks in his career.
