Former Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe has agreed to a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens worth up to $6 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Wolfe (6-5, 285 pounds) was selected by the Broncos in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft out of Cincinnati. Wolfe totaled 162 tackles — including 37 tackles for losses — and 19.5 sacks during his four years with the Bearcats.
Wolfe started all 16 games for Denver as a rookie, totaling 40 tackles and six sacks. He has battled through several injuries since then and has played in all 16 games just three times in the last eight years.
When healthy, Wolfe has been one of the Broncos’ best defensive linemen, totaling 299 tackles and 33 sacks. Before suffering an elbow injury last season, Wolfe recorded 34 tackles and seven sacks in 12 games.
Wolfe has broken up 15 passes in his career and he has one interception and one forced fumble on his resume.
Entering his ninth year in the NFL, Wolfe is 30 years old.
