Ex-Britain First deputy leader denies any link to illegal lockdown protests as rival right-wing groups row

Rival right-wing groups were involved in a bitter dispute yesterday over claims they were behind a series of illegal lockdown protests planned for today.

Jayda Fransen, the former deputy leader of Britain First, denied any involvement after flyers on social media, from a group called UK Freedom Movement, promoted gatherings in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Instead Fransen, who is involved with the British Freedom Movement, pointed the finger at another right-winger.

She said: “I am highly suspicious of the individual who called these protests, a Mr Richard Inman, leader of the UK Freedom Movement, given that he did so knowing that participants could be fined and or jailed.”

“I denounce the irresponsible actions of Mr Inman and his UK Freedom Movement.”

Inman, a Tommy Robinson supporter, took to YouTube earlier this week to deny his involvement in the protests.
