Ex-Bolton Wanderers loanee & Huddersfield Town defender eyed by Rangers given transfer price tag

Former Bolton Wanderers loanee Ben Jackson is reportedly in the sights of Scottish giants Rangers in the upcoming January transfer window but will cost £1.5m.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Wanderers from Championship side Huddersfield Town. He went on to make five appearances for the club in that time.

He scored a vital winner in the 1-0 victory away to Morecambe in April 2021, which helped keep Wanderers in the hunt for automatic promotion that season. The Whites later sealed a return to League One at the first time of asking with a top three finish.

The left-back came through the youth team ranks at the Terriers and his loan spell at Wanderers has been one of several in his career so far. Overall for the Yorkshire side, he has made 14 appearances and scored once.

He has recently found himself in the starting XI of the John Smiths Stadium outfit. And it appears his form on the pitch has attracted the attentions of potential suitors.

According to Football Insider, Huddersfield would want £1.5m for the defender, whose contract at the Championship side runs until the summer of 2024. Rangers have been named as potential suitors and is on their radar, but the Old Firm club have been told the price they will have to cough up if they want the former Wanderers loanee.
