The reality star involved in a murder investigation in South Australia has been revealed as former Beauty and the Geek contestant Tamika Chesser, after a suppression order on her identity was lifted.
Earlier this month, it was reported that a former reality star had been arrested and charged with murder after a man’s body, now identified as Julian Daniel Story, was found in a burning unit in Port Lincoln on June 19.
At the time, the identity of the alleged murderer was suppressed via a court order as investigators processed the scene, but the judge in the case, Magistrate Ben Sale, has now lifted the order ahead of a hearing scheduled for December.

Chesser appeared in season two of the reality dating show in 2010, and was paired with fellow contestant Thomas Richardson-Smith. The pair finished in second place behind that season’s winners, Jessie Byrne and Michael Price.
According to news.com.au, Chesser has also modelled for brands including Target, and appeared in magazines like Ralph and FHM.
After her arrest, Chesser was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court via a bedside hearing, as she remained in hospital.
It comes after emergency services responded to reports of a small fire in the Port Lincoln property, located on Flinders Highway, at around 3.15 pm on June 19.
After entering the premises, police located Story’s body and arrested and charged Chesser soon after.
It’s reported that both Chesser and Story lived at the property and were known to each other, with the alleged murder taking place between June 16 and June 19.
SA Police Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott said the scene was “complex”, adding that it was not a random incident and that no threat was posed to the broader community.
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke is expected to provide an update on the investigation at 1pm in Adelaide.
