Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell has insisted that the club must sack and has named four potential replacements.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss has been out of work since being sacked from the Red Devils in December 2018.
However, the Portuguese coach is reportedly holding out for another job in the Premier League to try to become the first manager to win a trophy with three different English clubs.
With pressure growing on Unai Emery, speculation has mounted that the Gunners boss could be axed and replaced by Mourinho.
Emery has split the fan base with his treatment of Mesut Ozil, whilst others are baffled by his team selection which has yielded mixed results.
After a fifth-place finish last term and a Europa League final loss, Arsenal are once again fifth in the Premier League standings after ten matches, four points behind Chelsea in fourth.

However, Campbell believes now is the time for the Gunners to cut their chord with Emery and has highlighted four potential successors who would do a better job.
He said on AFTV's Kevin Campbell Show: "What has Unai Emery done to make us better?
"I used to back managers, but I don't back managers anymore because it's wrong. When you back managers, you get stuck with that manager. And I don't want to be stuck to any managers.
"I want Arsenal to progress and to be able to go and challenge. I don't see it! So, I am calling out Unai Emery, right now because I am not seeing that.
"I think we're regressing – in my opinion, Unai Emery, thanks for trying, but we're going to go a different direction.
"The board should be getting him out and getting in someone like an [Massimiliano] Allegri or someone of that ilk. Luis Enrique, I like Luis Enrique – people even mentioned [Mikel] Arteta. What about Patrick Vieira?"
