Former Arsenal Fan TV star Liam Goodenough, more commonly known by his YouTube name of 'Mr DT', has spoken publicly for the first time since being released from prison.
Goodenough was arrested in July 2021 and ordered to serve 12 months behind bars after a court hearing in November that year. Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, he was convicted of kidnapping, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalking involving serious alarm or distress to which he pleased guilty.
His sentence was increased to three years back in January, but he was released from jail in mid-September. Now, in his first YouTube video since July 23 last year, the Arsenal fan has broken his silence, shedding light on his situation in a new episode of 'DT's Daily'.
"Now, before I go and get started on the football talk, and in particular Chelsea against Arsenal, there are a couple of issues that I need to address," Goodenough began.
"Now, I'm sure every single one of you will know what those issues are, and I'm sure every single one of you will know what's been going on in my personal life for the last 15-16 months. Now, in terms of the incidents and what happened on that night, as to why I received my prison sentence, I will not be going and having a conversation about that on camera.
"I will not be addressing it, I will not be speaking about it. There, of course, is a victim involved in all of this. It is my ex-partner, the mother to my children, and I simply will not be dragging all of this up again."
Aylesbury Crown Court heard how, on 24 July, 2021, Goodenough used a tracking feature on his victim's phone to locate them in a Buckinghamshire town in the early hours of the morning. He drove to the victim, where they and a friend were assaulted. Goodenough dragged the victim to the car, but a member of the public intervened and was able to get the victim out of the car. Goodenough then drove away.

He was arrested and charged two days later, pictured in an Arsenal jumper. Also handed a restraining order for a period of 10 years. Additional charges such as controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship and disclosing a private sexual photograph with intent to cause distress were to lie on file.
Continuing in his new video, the Gunners-supporting YouTube star went on to affirm: "I won't engage in any conversation about it on camera and I would like everybody to respect my wishes in that respect and understand that, like I said, there is a victim involved and I will not be talking about it. I've also got my children to think about as well and I simply will not be airing this on camera.
"You all know the situation, you've all seen the media reports and I do not need to discuss it or go into it anymore. If you see me out in person or you want to have a conversation with me privately, then you're more than welcome to. But on camera I will not be addressing this situation and I hope you can all respect that and the reasons behind it."
'DT' went on to confirm that he wouldn't be returning to AFTV, the Arsenal fan channel with which he made his name. The channel released a statement at the time of his sentencing stating that he would not work with them again. Before discussing the Gunners' 1-0 win at Chelsea, Goodenough added: "I once again wish AFTV well with the future. I wish Robbie well, I have no ill feeling towards him and I just want to move on with my life.
