Ex Apprentice star Frances McVeigh has ‘come out stronger’ after business was on the brink of collapse

Former Apprentice star, Frances McVeigh , says she has ‘come out stronger’ after feeling ‘utterly defeated’ as her business was on the brink of collapse last year. The ex-Apprentice contestant opened The Pud Store, which operated three stores across Nottinghamshire in 2015.

Last year, the popular children’s clothing store went into liquidation. Fran says that, a year on, she is now ‘happy and healthy’ after struggling with her business.

The ex Apprentice contestant took to twitter and said: “What a difference a year makes. Last year I was 6 and ½ stone. My business was on the brink of collapse and I was utterly defeated.

“A year later, I’m happy, healthy and have learnt to have fun again with all those who’ve stood beside me.

The -year-old continued: “I know I don’t tweet much business related content at the moment, but truthfully - I’ve spent the past year just learning to live again.

“I have though, found a career I love, and thatI’m so looking forward to continue to develop.

Fran added:“Lessons have been learnt. Fingers have been burnt. But through it all, I’ve come out stronger.

“You will never, ever win every fight… and that’s okay. What matter is that just like Dory… you keep on swimming.”
