(Reuters) - Australian Caleb Ewan claimed his second victory in the opening three stages of the Tour of Britain to reclaim the overall lead on Tuesday.

The Orica Scott rider beat Norways's Edvald Boasson Hagen by less than a wheel's width in a sprint finish in Scunthorpe.

Ewan, who also won the first stage on Sunday, moved six seconds clear of overnight leader Italian Elia Viviani of Team Sky, who finished seventh in the bunch sprint.

"Today was a tough day with the weather," Ewan said after a ride through the flat terrain of Lincolnshire. "It wasn't as straightforward as we might have expected."
