A Penicuik man who went missing on his way home from a night out in Dalkeith has been found.
Ewan Thomson (40) was previously last seen on Newmills Road in Dalkeith at around 11pm last night (Friday).
Police said he was planning to take the number 49 Lothian Bus to Rosewell and was then going to walk the remainder of the way home to Penicuik.
However when he failed to return home police were contacted, and officers on Saturday morning issued an urgent appeal for information in a bid to locate him.
At around 4pm police confirmed that he has been found safe and well, while thanking the public for their assistance.
