Ewan McGregor stars in the upcoming eight-part series A Gentleman in Moscow, where he portrays a Russian count facing exile to an attic room in a luxurious hotel. The show is set to premiere on Friday, March 29 for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan in the U.S., followed by its on-air debut on Sunday, March 31. International viewers can catch the series on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.K., Australia on March 29, and in Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and South Korea on May 17.

The series, based on Amor Towles' best-selling novel, follows Count Alexander Rostov, played by McGregor, who finds himself on the wrong side of history after the Russian Revolution. Banished to the Hotel Metropol, he faces a life confined within its walls under the threat of death if he steps outside. As Rostov navigates the tumultuous Russian history unfolding outside, he discovers the true essence of friendship, family, and love.

Joining McGregor in the cast are Mary Elizabeth Winstead as film actress Anna Urbanova, Alexa Goodall as Nina, Johnny Harris as Osip, and Fehinti Balogun as Mishka. The ensemble also includes Leah Harvey, Paul Ready, John Heffernan, Lyès Salem, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Dee Ahluwalia, Anastasia Hille, Daniel Cerqueira, Leah Balmforth, Billie Gadsdon, and Beau Gadsdon.

Produced by Lionsgate Television in association with Paramount, the series is helmed by executive producer and showrunner Ben Vanstone. Tom Harper's Popcorn Storm Pictures, through Lionsgate's first-look deal, brings this production to life. Harper, McGregor, Sharon Hughff, Pancho Mansfield, Xavier Marchand, and Amor Towles are among the executive producers, with Sam Miller and Sarah O'Gorman directing select episodes.
