Evil thieves steal family car and Chrismas presents from Scots home

Evil thieves stole Chistmas presents from under the tree of a Lanarkshire home before making off in the family's car.

The callous criminals hit the home on Hamilton Road in Larkhall on Thursday morning.

The vehicle, a Peugeot 3008 with the registration FRZ9456, was pinched during the raid of the property - which happened sometime between late Wednesday night and 7.20am on Thursday.

Police are appealing for information after the devastated family awoke to find their house ransacked just days before Christmas.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of the theft of a Peugeot 3008 car from outside a property around 7.20am on Thursday, 17 December.

"A number of Christmas gifts was also stolen from inside the property.

"The incident happened sometime overnight between Wednesday, 16 December and Thursday, 17 December.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 0451 of 17 December."
