Evil child killer Rosdeep Adekoya fails in anonymity bid after Daily Record legal challenge

Child killer Rosdeep Adekoya failed in a court bid to win lifelong anonymity after a legal challenge led by the Daily Record.

Adekoya, 41, beat her son Mikaeel Kular, three, to death before hiding his body in a suitcase in January 2014.

Mikaeel Kular was just three-years-old when he was killed (PA)

She was sentenced to 11 years in jail but served just six before her release from Cornton Vale last month.

Adekoya raised a petition at the Court of Session in a bid to win lifelong anonymity similar to James Bulger killers Robert Thompson and Jon Venables.

She argued her safety was at risk due to media reports but was unable to provide evidence of threats.

It was decided there was a clear public interest in reporting Adekoya’s case and her petition was rejected.
