More areas in England are set to move into Tier 3 this week as coronavirus cases continue to rise.
The government has confirmed that Warrington will be placed into the toughest coronavirus restrictions from 00.01 on Tuesday (October 27).
The Nottingham, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe council areas will also be deemed 'very high risk' from 00.01 on Thursday (October 29).
The news for Nottinghamshire was announced by the local council's on Monday evening.
The new measures are expected to last for 28 days and will see bars and pubs that do not serve substantial menus forced to shut and a ban on social mixing.
Betting shops, adult gaming centres, casinos and soft play centres will also close.
Warrington council will receive a financial support package of £1.68 million to help contact tracing and enforcement as well as £4.2 million in business support from the government.
Nottinghamshire's financial package has not yet been revealed with more details expected tomorrow (Tuesday).
The new areas join Greater Manchester, the Liverpool City Region, Lancashire and South Yorkshire who are already following the strictest measures meaning millions are now affected by the additional rules.
