Everything you need to know about Halloween at Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier

As always there are plenty of spine-chilling events to look forward to in Bristol this Halloween, and if you're willing to travel a little further afield there's even more to enjoy.

One of the scariest events in the area takes place at Weston-super-Mare's Grand Pier, which will once again be transformed into a terrifying attraction for older children and adults to enjoy, with the return of Halloween Unfairground.

While the seaside landmark is usually known for being a laughter-filled place, this Halloween it will descend into madness and mayhem after dark.

The fairground has been overrun by all manner of terrifying creatures and characters, all of whom are dying to get their hands on any unsuspecting victims who cross their path.

Now in its fourth year, Halloween Unfairground promises to be bigger and better than ever before, in part thanks to sponsoring from renowned drinks brand Bacardi.

It takes place on October 24, 25, 26, 31 and November 1 and 2, featuring a variety of scare zones which are home to an army of live actors who have all undertaken special 'scare training' to provide people with a thrilling experience.

There will be a total of six scare mazes to complete with two brand new for 2019, including the Puppet Museum and Street FEARtre - both of which are definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Hollie Otley, events manager at the Grand Pier, said: "Halloween is becoming a bigger event every year and more and more attractions are getting into the spirit of the season and staging their own special events.

"To be able to attract the support and sponsorship of an iconic brand like Bacardi is an extra-special thrill for us, as it’s an endorsement of the quality of the event we are hosting this year.

"We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this our most terrifying Halloween Unfairground yet, so many of our visitors are probably going to need a drink once they’ve been inside our scream park.

"The themed cocktails created by Bacardi will be just the tonic, and we’re delighted that such a world-famous big name wants to be associated with our event."

This event will be 'very scary' according to a spokesperson and is suitable for adults and older children.
