All adults in England must now show a Covid pass to enter nightclubs, big sports matches and other large gatherings.
Similar covid schemes are already in place in the rest of the UK, with some venues and events are legally required to check the covid status of visitors over 18.
The new rules - which came into effect on Wednesday - require proof of double-vaccination, or a recent negative test, to enter certain venues.
