St Paul's Carnival is just around the corner, bringing with it one of the biggest street parties this summer.

With four main stages catering to a variety of music, kicking off at midday all the way through the day till 10pm.

If you’re one of the lucky ones attending this big celebration of African-Caribbean culture, below is all the details you need including after parties until the sun goes down, line ups on the day as well as the procession route and timings

Carnival procession route and times

The carnival is making a comeback in just under two weeks now and along with the DJs being a big part of all the celebrations on the day, so is the procession.

With swarms of colourful costumes and floats travelling down St Paul’s, it’s set to be a special one.

You can get live updates on St Paul's Carnival throughout the day here.

The Procession begins at 12noon from Wilson Street, before proceeding to turn right onto Portland Square. They will then make their way to the square, in an anti-clockwise direction, giving people time to appreciate the colourful carnival floats and costumes.

Following this, the procession will then continue along Surrey Street, before turning right onto York Street.

Then, turn right onto City Road, performing down to the judging point at the junction of City and Ashley Roads. The judging will take place at approximately 2:00pm.

Once the winners have been announced, the procession will continue down Ashley Road, then turn right onto Lower Ashley Road, turning right onto Tudor Road. Next,  they will make their way to Fern Street, before turning right onto Newfoundland Road. The procession is set to end outside St Paul’s Sports Centre at around 4:00pm.
