Following Gambit’s release at the start of season five, Rogue is set to join Marvel Rivals‘ playable roster. With the release date being right around the corner, there are several leaks and an official developer video to learn more about Rogue’s kit.
Here’s everything we know about Rogue and her kit in Marvel Rivals ahead of her release on Dec. 12.
Rogue in Marvel Rivals: Class, abilities, and more
Rogue is officially joining the Marvel Rivals roster on Dec. 12 as a Vanguard Class hero. Her powerful melee abilities revolve around stealing other heroes’ abilities. During battle, Rogue can take down an enemy hero and absorb their abilities, gaining a buff based on the role.
She can also steal signature abilities, like Doctor Strange’s Shield of the Seraphim or Loki’s Regeneration Domain. After activating her ultimate, Rogue continuously drains ultimate charge from nearby enemies, giving further buffs based on their roles.
All Rogue abilities in Marvel Rivals
Here are all of Rogue’s abilities, according to Marvel Rivals Intel:
| Ability | Description | PC controls | Controller controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power Surge Punch | Punch forward with both fists. | LMB | RT/R2 |
| Heartbreaker | Continuously absorb Ultimate Ability Energy from nearby enemies and steal stats based on their role. | Q | LS+RS/L3+L3 |
| Fatal Attraction | Dash forward. Press again to unleash a burst of Chronovium Power from her ring, dealing continuous damage to nearby foes; after a delay, the energy retracts, pulling all enemies towards Rogue. | L Shift | RB/R1 |
| Chrono Kick Combo | Dash forward and launch the enemy, entering flight; activate again to Knock Down nearby enemies. Your next two Power Surge Punch attacks become ranged, piercing enemies and granting Bonus Health. | E | LB/L1 |
| Ability Absorption | Dash forward to knock down your target and absorb their energy; after absorbing, replace Ability Absorption with one of their abilities or refresh Fatal Attraction. Also, absorb [Health stats] based on their role. | F | X/Square |
| Southern Brawl | While in Defensive Stance, dash forward and slam enemies in front, dealing area damage. | LMB | RT/R2 |
| Defensive Stance | Absorb nearby projectiles and reduce incoming damage; absorbed damage powers up your next Southern Brawl. | RMB | LT/L2 |
Rogue is also a part of the Explosive Entanglement Team-Up. It allows Gambit to channel kinetic energy into Rogue, and upon activating the ability, Rogue’s attacks deal AoE damage and heal nearby allies. At the moment, the Team-Up features Gambit and Magneto, where Gambit empowers Magneto’s Iron Volley, replacing it with Ace Greatsword, which detonates upon striking enemies and deals a second instance of damage after a delay.
Apart from her kit, expect to find out more about the upcoming cosmetics, too. One of the skins leaked early is the Savage Land skin, which is rumored to be available with Rogue’s launch. Expect more information and official blog posts from NetEase in the coming days, as we’re gearing up for the season 5.5 update.
