Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou continue to go back and forth over the likelihood of a potential blockbuster heavyweight fight.
The two heavyweight champions have spoken on facing each other in the future in a boxing/UFC crossover fight.
Earlier this week, Ngannou made his intentions clear that he wants to face Fury in what would be a heavyweight blockbuster. In response, Fury put forward stipulation ideas of how the two would fight - potentially in a UFC octagon.
It was recently announced that Fury will fight on March 26, with an opponent yet to be confirmed.
Ngannou meanwhile, will face undefeated heavyweight Ciryl Gane later this month in the UFC and if both defeat their respective opponents, their schedules will be open.
Here's everything that both fighters have said about one another as talk of a potential contest heats up.
Fury on Ngannou
Speaking last year, he told TMZ: "Me and Ngannou in the small gloves, let’s make it happen. As soon as I am done with Wilder and (Anthony) Joshua, I will fight Ngannou in an octagon, in the four ounce gloves and just punching.”
And this week he said: "Who would like to see me fight this beast boxing rules in UFC gloves?"
Before adding to Ngannou directly: "You want to come in to my world calling me & wilder out to a boxing match. What I can guarantee you would be knocked out & also paid your highest purse to be so! so have a think."
Ngannou on Fury
Speaking to TMZ, he said: “It’s always been down the line; this is something that I’m not taking my eyes off.
“This is going [to] happen either way. Even if I stay... If, or when, the UFC and I finalise a deal, the boxing part has to be in it. I can’t see myself retiring without boxing.
“I would like to test myself to their level. It’s not the same sport, but I’m the champion, so I’m in the top in this division.
"At the end of the day, it’s just about throwing hands, throwing punches, having a good delivery system to throw those bombs. I’m sure that if I deliver my own punches pretty good, I can [do] some damage.”
When challenged by Fury on Twitter, Ngannou replied: "How about MMA rules with boxing gloves? I can do you that favor."
Before adding: "After I handle business on Jan. 22 I'll fight you under any special rule set you want. In a ring, an octagon or a phone booth."
