Everything to know about Brian Ormond's new premium Dublin shoe store

Irish presenter turned businessman Brian Ormond opened his premium footwear store in Dublin's City Centre last week.

Wife Pippa O'Connor was there to show her support as were his three children as Movrs officially opened to shoppers around the Grafton Street area.

Located on Harry Street, Movrs specialises in stylish, high-end footwear with the belief that runners are now for more than just for downtime and are often a way to dress up.

The store also prides itself on its sustainable practices, working only with brands that don't have a negative impact on the planet.

Sustainable high-end labels that are carried at the store include ACBC, Zouri, Italian labels Apepazza and Napapijri, Dutch brands Scotch & Soda and Mercer Amsterdam, and American labels Blauer and Kendall + Kylie.

Other brands the store carries include French label Zespà, Spanish vegan brands Saye and Flamingos’ Life, British trainer labels Good News and Nokwol, and Italian brand Flower Mountain.

There will also be Italian handmade men’s brand DIS, which will have a dedicated kiosk in Movrs where shoppers can design their own shoes, which will then be made in Italy and shipped directly them.

A statement from the store reads: "40% of all Movrs stock is already classed sustainable, with 90% of packaging made from recycled materials, and 70% of the shop fit-out is from recycled and sustainable materials. Movrs’ ultimate mission is to be fully carbon neutral by 2030"

Inside, the store is kitted out with minimalist yet eye-catching illustrations, as well as modern woods and metal shelves.

The Irish TV and radio star announced in October that Movrs was coming soon and it is now officially open to shoppers in the city centre. Brian teamed up with the men responsible for bringing Sketchers to Ireland, Sunil Shah and Paul Gallagher, to bring us Movrs, as well as Alan McGovern of iZest Marketing.

The Harry Street shop is set to be the company's Dublin flagship store, having previously housed Jack Wills for more than ten years and Berry Bros & Rudd Wine Shop before that.

The past couple of months have been eventful for Brian and his wife Pippa, who welcomed their new baby boy in October.
