The crossover of the century — aka the long-awaited podcast episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce‘s New Heights featuring Taylor Swift — has finally dropped. As you might expect, with all the countdowns and information about Taylor’s upcoming album, The Secret Life Of A Showgirl, the Swifties are going absolutely wild over the lengthy podcast ep.
To be totally honest, it’s kind of wild (non-derogatory) to hear Taylor sit down and talk normally for almost two hours in this setting. However, if you don’t have two hours in the middle of a workday to listen to a podcast, don’t worry, I’ve got you sorted with all of the tea the glowing couple and the other guy dropped in the episode.
If you want to watch the whole thing, you can check it out below.
Everything Taylor Swift said on the New Heights podcast
The podcast is one hour and 45 minutes long, so get a cup of tea, a snack and buckle tf up for everything Taylor Swift dished on the pod.

Taylor gives us a taste of what The Life of a Showgirl is going to be like
“It comes from the most infectious, joyful, wild and dramatic place I was at in my life. That effervescence comes through…it’s bangers,” she explained.
According to Travis, it’s a “complete 180” from her last album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“It’s a lot more upbeat, fun pop. A complete 180 from songs on Tortured Poets,” he said, noting that his favourite is track number 10, entitled “CANCELLED”.
If you were thinking that Miss Girl would come out with another bonus album on top of the original 12 songs, don’t get your hopes up.
“It’s 12 songs, there’s no more,” Taylor stated.

How Taylor feels about people talking shit online
Taylor isn’t a stranger to people saying awful things about her, especially in online spaces. Thankfully, over the years, she’s developed a thick skin.
“I’m of the belief that anything you feed your brain, it will internalise. Anything you feed the internet, it will kill,” she explained.
“I’ve been in the music industry for 20 years. It’s pretty hard to hurt my feelings.
“It’s at a point where something can be about me, my name can be in the actual headline, and it can still be none of my business. People might be out here doing too much, doesn’t mean I have to do a damn thing.”
Amen, sis!!!!!
The easter eggs
Whether you’re a Swiftie or not, the way Taylor leaves clues and hints about her music for her fans is an art form. Is it slightly terrifying? Absolutely, but it’s impressive nonetheless.
According to Taylor, these clues don’t come around willy-nilly and a lot of thought goes into each one. She even has rules she follows when she’s planning ahead.
“I want Easter eggs to be a certain thing where if you are part of the fandom, and you want to experience music in a normal way, then you don’t even see these — you don’t even care what that thing is above that doorway, under that dimly lit, flickering light over there that’s upside-down, backwards in Braille. But if you want to look at that, you can. If you know, you know,” she shared.

However, Taylor says there is a method to her madness.
“I have parameters. There are do’s and don’ts,” she admits.
“I don’t do an Easter egg that ties to my personal life. It points to my music …it’s something you don’t know why I’m saying for a specific reason, but then you’ll look back and go ‘oh my god’.”
She loves sourdough
During the lengthy chat, Taylor shared that she’s really into sourdough baking.
“I’d say all my hobbies are hobbies you could’ve had in the 1700s,” Taylor quipped.
“I’m on my granny shit. I love to paint. I love to cook.
“I have a different baking obsession every six months. Right now very we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life. I’m really talking about bread 60 per cent of the time now.”
Honestly, this isn’t a shock. Taylor is a 35-year-old woman who has always loved baking. It feels like a rite of passage for her to be vibing out on sourdough blogs. Oh, the tradwife of it all.

How she felt about the Eras Tour coming to an end
“I miss it, but it was perfect for what it was. It was a lot of physical therapy and perpetual physical discomfort,” she said, comparing to when the football stars are in the middle of the season.
“The heels for that long,” she continued.
“I miss it because I miss the fans and I miss that connection. It was so special, it was like the most formative time of my life. I learnt so much about how far I can push myself. Making that a three-and-a-half-hour show in the beginning of the tour, you can’t be sick one day and decide tonight it’s only going to be two and a half hours.
“It’s just prioritising the fan’s experience before anything else.”

Getting her master recordings back
One of the biggest crusades of Taylor’s life has been reclaiming the rights to her master recordings. In May this year, she announced that she was finally the owner of all the music she’d created since she was 15 years old.
Speaking about the monumentous occasion on the podcast, the “Karma” singer broke down in tears.
“I thought about not owning my music every day,” she said.
“It was an intrusive thought I had every day. A couple of months after the Super Bowl in Kansas City, I got a call from my mum; she was like: ‘You got your music’.
“I very dramatically hit the floor for real. Bawling my eyes out, weeping, like ‘really!?’ I said to myself, ‘go tell Travis in a normal way,’ he was playing video games, and he put his headset down. I was like, ‘I got my music back!’ and I was heaving and crying.
“This changed my life.”

She’s thankful to the podcast
If you’re wondering why Taylor decided to announce her next era on a sports podcast with an overwhelmingly male audience, it has everything to do with Travis’ campaign to meet her.
Just in case you missed it, Travis met Taylor after he told his New Heights audience that he wanted to give the pop star a friendship bracelet. The rest, as they say, is history.
“I was waiting for you guys to invite me. This is my favourite podcast,” she said with a coy smile.
“I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend.”
Wholesome!!!!
