Everything passengers can expect to happen now when they fly from Leeds Bradford Airport

This video shows passengers what a trip to Leeds Bradford Airport looks like after a range of new measures were brought in to try and protect them from Covid-19.

The airport reopened on Sunday, June 21, after it was shut to the public for 12 weeks, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Passengers now have to go through a 'preparation zone' outside the terminal entrance so staff can talk them through the new hygiene and security arrangements.

Only travelling passengers are allowed to enter the airport and they must wear face masks inside the terminal.

Strict social distancing measures are in place, although people from the same household can remain together, and passengers are being encouraged to use the hand washing and sanitiser stations that have been set up.

Only car parks within walking distance of the terminal are open, shuttle bus services have been suspended, fast track is unavailable and all shops have been closed, but a pop-up cafe in The Yorkshire Lounge is offering takeaway food.

The airport says "the process through the border remains the same" for inbound passengers, but everyone who arrives from overseas must self isolate for 14 days.
