Everything Mick McCarthy just said on Wolves-linked Kieffer Moore and what he expects in final days of Cardiff City's transfer window

Mick McCarthy hopes he will not have a busy end to Cardiff City's transfer window as he once again reiterated that, to his knowledge, there is "nothing happening" regarding the potential departure of Kieffer Moore.

Moore has been linked with Wolves in recent days, with reports suggesting the Midlands club are preparing to lodge a £7m bid for the player before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

The forward featured in the Bluebirds' starting lineup for the 2-1 defeat to Bristol City on Saturday afternoon, providing the shot which was ricocheted into the opposition's own net via Robins keeper Daniel Bentley for the hosts' only goal.

Whether that is his final action in a Cardiff shirt, however, remains to be seen, with three more days of the summer transfer window still remaining.

But, as McCarthy once again reiterated, he is confident at the minute that the situation will not change.

"I don't expect any ins coming in," McCarthy said. "I'm hoping I don't have any outs.

"We are all talking about Kieffer Moore, without mentioning him.

"As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing happening."

Moore was one of Cardiff's better players despite the defeat to Bristol City, and showed that talk of a potential move away had not knocked his focus out of kilter.

McCarthy praised the player's professionalism in what has likely been a destabilising week.

"He is a great lad. He has got all that paper talk and that interest because he is a great lad," McCarthy added.

"He puts a shift in and works hard, he's got the quality.

"I've got no complaints with him at all or how he played.

"I don't think the talk about potential transfer moves is affecting him at all."

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday, August 31.
